- Because every knife is 100% hand crafted, and, I do not use artificial materials for handles in most cases, the products are NOT dishwasher safe. After use, clean, wash by hand and dry the knife immediately. Apply a light coating of good quality furniture wax to the handle if you are going to store the knife for an extended period of time.
- Due to the fact that I use natural wood on handles, you can expect to see minor blemishes / inclusions which make up the character of the wood.
- Avoid storing your knife in the sheath. Natural leather is hydroscopic by nature. Moisture can affect the finish of the handle and blade.
- Mirror/Satin polished bolsters WILL pick up scratches with handling and use. This is normal and to be expected.
- All my knives come with a 1 year guarantee to the original buyer or person that it was bought for. If for some reason your knife has a catastrophic failure, I will either fix or make another one to replace it, to be determined at my discretion. I will not cover misuse or neglect of the care of the knife.
Things that are not covered:
- Rusting or tarnishing of the blade or bolster and guard metals. With proper care these knives can be used and passed to the next generation.
- I use superior quality seasoned wood for handle material, but even so, wood is a living thing, constantly expanding and contracting. I have no control over how you will be taking care of your knife. In the unlikely event of a problem, I will evaluate each situation on a case by case basis.
- All handles are coated with a marine grade water-resistant coating.
- Broken tips are not covered nor impact related damage to the knife (dented / chipped handles, broken blades, etc.)
- Incorrect sharpening can ruin a knife. I do not cover excessive wear / damage to the blade due to incorrect sharpening methods used.
- Being used as a prybar, screwdriver, wire cutting, throwing or anything else they make the proper tool for.
- Chips in the cutting edge or spine
- Mirror/Satin finished bolster scratches through normal use.
- By ordering a knife you are agreeing to the terms and conditions that are set in this list.
- Products on sale are non-returnable. These products are discontinued models that I no longer produce.
- All debit and credit card transactions are transmitted over a secure encrypted SSL and it is not stored.
- By placing an order, you are acknowledging that you are at least 18 years old or have your parents consent to purchase the knife.
- I will not be held responsible for any damage or injury that is caused by the knife you purchased from me.
- All sales are final. I will only ship a product once payment has been received.
